BREEZE
Accidental Release Modeling
Software For Hazards
Associated With Accidental Releases, Fires, and Explosions
BREEZE
HAZ software makes it easy for environmental and safety professionals to
identify hazards associated with accidental releases, fires, and explosions
and communicate about the potential impacts of those risks.
The BREEZE product line features the
following industry-standard dispersion models.
For accidental atmospheric
releases:
AFTOX – for accidental puff/plume releases
INPUFF – for puff releases that occur over time
DEGADIS – for dense gas releases
SLAB – for dense gas releases
For fires:
Confined Pool Fire – for fires that occur when liquid is ignited in a
confined area such as a dike or a tank
Unconfined Pool Fire – for fires that occur when an unconfined
spreading pool of liquefied fuel gas ignites
Jet Fire and BLEVE – for fires that result from the leak or rupture
of a pipeline containing a compressed or liquefied gas under pressure
Breeze LFG
Fire/Risk Software
Breeze Fire/Explosion Software
For explosions:
U.S. Army TNT Equivalency and U.K. HSE TNT Equivalency – for surface
or free-air bursts where the explosion is centered at a single location
TNO Multi-Energy – for vapor cloud explosions where the model uses a
series of sub-blasts corresponding to potential blast sources within the
cloud
Baker-Strehlow – accounts for the variability of the blast strength
by expressing the explosion as a number of fuel-air charges, each with
individual characteristics
Breeze Fire/Explosion Software
HEXDAM – to evaluate damage caused to structures as a result of a
primary explosion and any accompanying secondary explosions
VEXDAM – to evaluate damage caused to structures as a result of a
primary explosion and accompanying secondary explosions from vapor clouds at
any elevation
VASDIP – computes the vulnerability parameters needed for input to
HEXDAM/VEXDAM
Product Suites
BREEZE HAZ DISPERSION includes each of the accidental releases
models above as well as the proprietary model, EXPERT, which is used to
calculate needed source-term parameters (e.g., emission rate, evaporation
rate, release duration) for the models.
BREEZE
HAZ FIRE/EXPLOSION is a comprehensive suite for
modeling flammable and explosive chemical accidental releases. It includes
each of four fire models and four explosion models listed above that can be
used to examine radiation/overpressure hazards from various fire/explosion
scenarios. This product is ideal for real-world applications, such as
control-room siting at a natural gas refinery, or meeting governmental
regulations, such as the US EPA's Risk Management Plan (RMP) ruling.
BREEZE
HAZ PROFESSIONAL is the most comprehensive
software package for modeling toxic and flammable chemical releases that
Trinity Consultants offers. HAZ PROFESSIONAL contains the proprietary
source-term model called EXPERT, four dispersion models, four fire models,
and four explosion models.
